Quick BEA question...

Just to verify, if you register and you don't get an email form them, you should just assume that you were approved???

BEA???

Ok, so I finally figured out what BEA stands for-Book Expo America-and now I want to know what it is. I went on the site but I still don't exactly get what it is and hwo everything works. Do you just go and hope you get in? Do you pay? Anyone know anything??

Thanks in advance!

Ugh

I haven't had been able to post in forever!!! It sucks. And now it might be a few more days until I can post again. I couldn't do my wrap-up post for the Read-A-Thon, I didn't get my IMM up, and I went to PAYA. I hope they do another one! I was so freakin shocked when I won, in my opinion, the best raffle prize they had! It was a Body Finder Raffle! It had so awesome shtuff, and I'll put up a pic of it later...if I get to it. I was a little nervous this time, but hopefully I'll have another year to get my confidence up. I was so sad though because they didn't have any more copies of Ballads of Surburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert. :-(

I'm also moving Saturday! Luckily, I won't have to help because I'll be at my dad's! Yay! I'm not strong enough to do that stuff anyway.

---------------EDIT---------------

Just, like is says above, this is an edit to this post. I somehow keep forgetting to mention my new blog design! I didn't have it specially designed or anything but I really like it. I loved my old layout but I was havng problems with my widgets and, beng no computer wiz, I couldn't find out how to fix it. But this seems to have done the trick!

The World Has Ended b/c of PAYA

Or at least mine. You might have heard of PAYA, the wonderful event happening in West Chester- only like 50 mins away from my house! There's going to be 18 authors signing books, a bake sale(!!!!!!), a book sale, and 2 great workshops. I was so excited to go. Nervous but extremely excited because nothing ever happens in PA around me!

But wait...did you notice the "was". Yeah. I can't go now! That's what happens when you have to rely on other people because you don't have a license. I am so freakin' pissed....I don't even know what to say. I'm so pissed I don't even know if the release of Mockingjay would make me feel better.........Ok, it would, but I'm still pretty pissed. I was hoping to have my first giveaway soon, and was depending on this event to get some cool stuff for it. And the other bad part is, my friends were relying on me for a ride. Now my friends are disappointed...I feel guilty... and life sucks right now. I'm in the middle of packing to move, and this was supposed to lift my spirits. My only solace is books right now. Whenever I get really upset I buy peanut m&ms and read read read! I'm nonstop. I found the silver lining, but it's not really helping. :-(

Yay for PA!

I was just doing my daily thing, you know, reading Stephanie Kuehnert's awesome blog, Life, Words, & Rock 'n' Roll. And as I got to the end of the post I saw that Harmony from Harmony Book Reviews has organized an event in West Chester. The PAYA Event to bring YA to fame in good 'ol Pennsylvania. So awesome because I live in PA! About 45 mins. away from the event! If I don't go...well, I'll be able to blame one of my parenst for not driving me, but still! I'll be really upset. *setting plans in motion*
