BEA???

Ok, so I finally figured out what BEA stands for-Book Expo America-and now I want to know what it is. I went on the site but I still don't exactly get what it is and hwo everything works. Do you just go and hope you get in? Do you pay? Anyone know anything??

    BEA is where publishers, authors and other book industry people meet, network and discuss upcoming books (and current ones too). As a blogger you can go to BEA but you must first register. You can do that as 'press' with the understanding that you'll blog about your experiences and the books you may get there. So far there is no cost to register as press. Of course if you happen to live in NYC then you don't have to worry about getting there or where to stay (and all the expense that entails) while you're attending the convention.
